We are experienced clinical psychologists who are dedicated and highly skilled in providing insightful, individualised therapeutic intervention to clients. We aim to build relationships with clients based on confidentiality, mutual respect, and quality of service.

How we work

Our psychologists provide therapeutic assistance to people in a respectful and meaningful manner. The therapeutic techniques are tailored to clients and their needs.

The predominant treatment modalities are:

  • Psychoanalytic therapy, which involves assisting people to work through their difficulties, given their life experiences and addressing what they want in their lives and what inhibits them from pursuing this.
  • Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), which address the impact of thoughts on the person's feelings and behaviour.
  • Acceptance and Commitment therapy (mindfulness-based approach), which involves working towards acceptance of those issues that are out of your personal control, and committing to action that improves and enriches your life.

Who do we work with?

We are able to treat clients with the following range of conditions:

  • Psychological disorders (depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, perinatal and post-natal depression)

We are able to offer services to the following:

  • Adults
  • Professional supervision to psychologists with general registration, in the clinical registrar training program, and provisional psychologists, including via Zoom (offered by Dr Helen Krstev and Dr Jonathan Kettle).

We can receive referrals via Medicare or a private fee. Clients require a Mental Health Care Plan (completed by a GP) to be seen under the Medicare 'Better Access' program. Under this program, they are eligible to receive 20 sessions per year and receive a Medicare rebate. We are also providers for most major health funds.

Affiliations

Clinical psychologists are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency Board. This ensures they meet specified standards of competence, ethical practice and strict guidelines for professional conduct.

Our psychologists are registered members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and are members of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Specialist membership of the APS Clinical College is restricted to psychologists who have completed specialised post-graduate training in psychology and received professional supervision from an established clinical psychologist.
